You came in flinging shit and are shocked that I want to start the argument you started?

If the point is that you are an ass, point taken.

I'll be as blunt as possible here: I did not come in looking to start an argument.

Nor did I say I was shocked.

I am - however - in such a mood that the sort of absolute bullshit that prompted my initial response wasn't going to slide on by without both a reaction (which would have been normal for me) and a comment/response.

Now, are you quite done with this needless back and forth or do you need to further vent your spleen?

"35th Avenue and Dunlap. "

"Alleged" shoplifter.

Okay, it was likely yet another tweaker swiping junk food as per standard for any CircleK in the metro phoenix area.

Shouldn't shoot them, just let CircleK soak up the loss.

James Gray was told to step back as a commander of the St John Ambulance (SJA) after the reported gaffe when he introduced the then vaccines minister, Nadhim Zahawi, as the health secretary at a parliamentary reception last month. Sajid Javid is the health secretary.

The event was held to honour volunteers who helped the NHS with the vaccine programme during the spring and summer. Gray, 66, was said to have mixed up the two ministers in the room.

A witness who spoke to the Daily Mail said when Gray’s error was pointed out to him, he told the audience: “They all look the same to me.” The witness added that afterwards, Zahawi pulled Gray to one side for a private conversation.
Below, Nadhim Zahawi and Sajid Javid

I assume he simply got their names switched round -- I find it difficult to believe anyone could mistake a man with a beard with a man who is clean-shaven, even if they're both bald, especially when they're both high-profile work colleagues -- and for some reason must have thought this was an amusing and light-hearted way of making up for his mistake.

He is a Tory MP, after all, and this kind of witty banter has, of course, worked for his boss.

"The witness added that afterwards, Zahawi pulled Gray to one side for a private conversation" -- I bet he did, and one that Gray probably can't have enjoyed too much.

Former grave? He got up and left?
He was a famous musicologist from a Jewish family who had converted to mainstream German evangelical Protestantism and died in 1934. In the graveyard in which his remains were interred, it seems to be the case that the family lease the plot for however many years, after which the remains are transferred to a more remote location, thus making the gravesite in the main graveyard available again.

The Church said that Hafenmayer's representative had originally requested a more central burial plot, which had been refused by the cemetery authorities as there were many Jewish graves in that area.
That surprises me, because Jews area usually interred in Jewish cemeteries. I can see why the original occupant of that grave was there, because he became a Protestant and would have been buried as such. But that there were enoughJewish graves there for it to be a problem for the Nazi to be buried there surprises me.

It's a burial site belonging to the church which he had joined when he converted and of the Nazi's family are also members. The Nazis, after all, did not distinguish between their victims on the basis of religious belief.
