It is a well known fact that Lucas Films hired several Bigfoot tribes to play the wookies in Star Wars.

Except in the case of Chewbacca, because Hollywood is descriminatory and doesn't beleive Bigfoots actually have enough acting chops to carry the lead roll in 7 films of a 9 film franchaise.

Less well known, to save money on the sets and props, only Sasquatches under the age of 10 were used. So, yet another example of trans-species child labor abuses. I'm very disappointed in William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy for allowing this to happen on their movie.

In a comic book story, Chewbacca IS Sasquatch...

After some freak hyperspace jump, Han and Chewie crash land on Earth in the 1880s. Han is killed by American Indians but a sad Chewbacca roams the forest and gets named Sasquatch by the indigenous people.

Oh right yeah... and THEN, 126 years later, some archaeologist called Indiana Jones goes searching for Sasquatch and finds the wreckage of a strange craft and Han Solo's remains (which he remarks seem somehow familiar, although I'm not sure how what is now just a skeleton would seem familiar. Must be the Force or something).

Chewbacca is still alive, watching over and roaming the forests, accounting for all those Big Foot sightings.

I'd watch a movie were a hyper space jump goes wrong and Chewbacca ends up getting mistaken for bigfoot. I think it's be fun if it also included Howard the Duck, but that might be pushing my luck.

Get the licensing for ALF and dust off the Cat from Outer Space. I'm sure nothing outlandish could happen there.
