Spiffy new RTX 3070... (major upgrade to the gpu I had) been catching up on all the unplayable games I've given up on.

Finally dove back into SL to see how it looked... and wham... I get this garbage:



Apparently it's a known bug with the current nvidia driver. Sigh. Easier just to run without the "Advanced Lighting Model" than try to roll back to an older driver.

The newst driver fixes it.
Update to 516.59. I had the same issue with the one before that.

Every forum got a new Guideline Post yesterday. Sheesh! Did we really need that? Are we really that bad? I've given up mainland because LL won't put in any rules, so maybe I'm going to give up the forums because they have too many!

LL are what they are, a handful of otherworldly coders who stumbled over a success and never had a clue how their customers see, feel and use their products.

They might get lucky that there are enough people over there as addicted to their forums as most of us here are too.
