These multiple levels of fatpack are really starting to get on my nerves. That's twice now I failed to figure out which one had the shoes in it.

Lately, with the happy weekend offerings on display in their online gallery, one can hardly tell what they are selling exactly. Head, skin, make up, jewelry, shoes, a fat ass?
Somehow a lot of creators think nowadays, that their name and a general picture is sufficient.

I want a return to the good ol days, when vendors had a picture on them of just the thing included in the box. Yes, we all want eyecatching vendor images, but the amount of staging involved just to sell a small star tattoo under one eye is getting stupit.

The "unpack everytime you rez the box" pisses me off.

And it's not that hard to make an unpacker that skips the fucking unpacking script.

Does VVO have a script library? I'd add it to that.

Finally had the pleasure of meeting Luc inworld after all these years and enjoyed a nice dance and chat with him at a formal dance at Stray Cat.

Yes! There's No need for laggy box opening scripts! I don't think any consumer cares about stupid particle effects or object animations or auto-givers when we open boxes. I never understood what's wrong with the 'Click to...' drop down, in the edit object window. Just set that to 'Open' and you're set. Setting the click to value even works when the object is attached as a HUD, so it can be opened in no-rez areas. It even opens when you wear the box on your head and click it. The infohub guys told me all the cool people open boxes on their heads.

The descriptions are well written. I wonder how much time it took to do all those.

Part of the process of buying a fun looking costume is later finding out what video game it's from.
Semi-related, Beezle found a neat-looking thing and wanted to look at it in-world. Immediately on TP she spotted a thing she'd bought elsewhere, which meant both creators went on the blacklist, especially after looking at the rest of their stuff.

On the plus side, she found out Rideco is legit and has a lovely abandoned forklift where the offending object was.

Semi-related to that, many years ago i bought a jacket in SL (textured jacket layer with flexi-skirt as it was years ago) and i loved that thing to bits. Then one day, i saw it in another store, and double checked; yes it was pixel for pixel the same. So I contacted the person i bought mine from and told her her jacket had been stolen. She could not have cared less, and didn't even respond with any sadness or thanks or anything emotionally tangible. Way later...duuuh...i realised why.
