Russia announced the start of the mass production and armament of its army with its own type of hypersonic glide vehicle, the Avangard missile.

It has at least a range of 6000 km, and Russia claims that no anti missile system on the market at the moment is able to intercept it. The system is able to transport nuclear warheads, supposedly in the 2 megatons range.

The speed alone is not what gives anti missile systems a headache, but the maneuverability in the atmosphere like riding in waves.
The pentagon so far officially is unimpressed, and states that the claims are hard to verify and it is doubtful if the system really entered service, or this is just a bigger field test. Also its effectiveness is questioned by the pentagon as well so far.

I disagree with this. Parents can leave themselves unprotected all they want, but I believe that the minute parents deny their children the right to protection from these terrible, preventable diseases, it is tantamount to child neglect.
