I'll certainly never claim to be smarter than you are.
I just started reading the Illuminatus Trilogy. I have no idea where in the book the reference is but found this quote

Atlanta Hope is a minor character in The Illuminatus! Trilogy and the author of Militarism: The Unknown Ideal for the New Heracleitean and Telemachus Sneezed. She was a feminist before turning to Objectivism, the Religious Right, and the Ku Klux Klan as the leader of God's Lightning. Hope is a parody of the Ayn Rand and her novel Telemachus Sneezed is a parody of Atlas Shrugged, with it's catch phrase "Who is John Galt?" replaced with "What is John Guilt?" Unlike Rand, Hope is fixated on Heraclitus instead of Aristotle.

Richard Wilson, director of Stop Funding Hate, told i: “With anti-Muslim hate on social media fuelling real-world violence on our streets, it’s shocking that X would allow such extreme Islamophobic content to be posted on their platform at all – let alone with these ads running alongside it.

“This example highlights yet again that the only way to keep your brand safe is to steer well clear of advertising on X.”

I've been ignoring this thread because I don't give a d*** about Musk so this might be redundant, but Legal Eagle posted a vid on Musk suing advertiser for - get this - not advertising. The harassment has caused one advertiser advisory group to shut down, and cost Media Matters for America a ton of money causing job losses.

I just saw someone point out that the Cybertruck looks like just a bigger version of that little car that Dynamo drives around in The Running Man and now I can't unsee it

Hopefully no one is surprised by this.

Elon Musk has attacked voting by mail as an “insane” idea that encourages election fraud, but he voted by mail twice when he lived in California, according to records of his voting history obtained by NBC News.

Musk voted by mail in November 2016, the year Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton, and in the November 2018 midterm election, the records show. Musk’s primary residence was in Los Angeles at the time.

The state records show that Musk had a sparse history of voting in California. During the 18 years he was eligible to vote there, he cast ballots in only those two elections. He became eligible to vote when he became a U.S. citizen in 2002 and cast his first ballot 14 years later, at age 45. He was actively registered to vote by August 2006, the records show.

In Star Trek, Musk would be a Ferengi. And not one of the nicer ones.
Dunno. The Ferengi were largely redeemed by Armin Shimerman, Max Grodénchik and the late Aron Eisenberg.

They actually have a moral code and their form of "capitalism" is more of a religion with spiritual concepts - like the "Great River" Nog was was talking about in "Treachery, Faith and the Great River" (DS9, 7x06).

Musk has none of that. I don't think he has any sincerely held beliefs, he's just too self-absorbed for that. Even his vile hatred for transgender people is just a consequence of him doubting the quality of his sperm because one of his children turned out to be one.

His understanding of science fiction doesn't extend beyond "Kirk punch lizard" and appreciating ideas for technological gadgetry that he can scavenge.

If I had to map him onto any of the Star Trek races, I'd say he's a particularly malicious Pakled.
