Remember Musk's legal fight for his huge pay package from Tesla? Well...

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has lost his bid to get his absurdly astronomical pay package — currently valued at just north of $100 billion — reinstated.

In January, Delaware judge Kathaleen McCormick deemed the largest compensation plan in US history null and void, arguing that Musk had full control over Tesla and its board, leading to a negotiation that was "deeply flawed."

A consequent shareholder vote in June unsurprisingly found that investors were willing to reinstate the compensation plan — but even that failed to convince McCormick.
"Even if a stockholder vote could have a ratifying effect, it could not do so here," she wrote in an opinion on Monday. "Were the court to condone the practice of allowing defeated parties to create new facts for the purpose of revising judgments, lawsuits would become interminable."

Curve in the road. Looks like the car drove straight into that tree.

Evilon may purchase Hasbro in order to own Wizards of the Coast in order to own the rights to D&D so he can rewrite the history that they rewrote in the preface of the latest rules book. He could probably just purchase WotC from Hasbro. Or he can purchase all of Hasbro's stock at a few thousand dollars a share and spread some of that wealth as he destroys D&D along with everything else.

I buy a bunch of stuff Hasbro puts out and a lot of fans have zero interest in Musk.

This would 1000% kill Hasbro almost overnight I think.

And in general, kids don't buy toys really, fans and collectors buy toys. Its not all of the market, but they have actually more or less acknowledge this. Especially with their various 6" lines for Marvel and Star Wars and GI Joe.

Agree, agree, and this has been my observation as well. Jarod noted his vast GI Joe collection when I mentioned this to him earlier.

Wait .... this Hasbro thing isn't a joke?

Also, Wizards of the Coast got gobbled up by Hasbro? (Disclaimer: No idea what they did, but they seemed to be a very well-liked local company. Something about some game?)

Dammit. There really is no telling satire from reality anymore. :anger:

Hasbro hinted around selling off Wizards to shore up cash reserves earlier this year but that seemed to fizzle with no serious bites.Eldaharolibaron will probably prefer driving the whole of Hasbro into the ground. D&D will, of course, survive as millions of rule books exist and players are used to warping their own universes despite teh rulez.

I mean, since we got old and can't belly up to the table much anymore, I've written hundreds of little short fiction bits set in FriendWorld for share with the Gang.

Sure thing Elon, keep telling yourself that.

Also, he is honestly, probably at the top of "the list" if there is one, for "people who could vanish from this planet and literally everything would become noticibly better.". Right up there with Putin.

Yeah.... It's uncertain how this assassination will affect healthcare policy, but I am sure this is good for the employment of body guards.

"Based" is basically slang that the yoots use for "Really cool and awesome, good job."

I suspect people saw people on Twitter claiming that "The shooting was based".

Or maybe in a closer, better use, the phrase would be "Based shooter."

It’s not always about instant information. Friendly conversation is preferable to Google when socializing outranks defining an odd colloquial term. We used to sit around and talk about stuff everybody already knew in the good old days.
