This is pretty hilarious. Elon has just now realized that MAGA includes a ton of racists that will NOT make exceptions that help his businesses. I actually agree with him that we want skilled immigrants and racism is bad, but the way he's just now arguing for this is very clueless and shows he really didn't understand the allies he courted and bought his way into. Consider an alternate interpretation. Trump is pushing appointments sans Congressional consent, not to have specific people appointed, but to prove that he can in a first step toward forming the Imperial States Reich. Perhaps Musk is knowingly testing his influence as the power behind the throne.

He must know that Trump doesn’t give a rats ass about his constituents or their issues or their desires. So he has a free hand in the regime. And there’s a shiny new Colonel’s uniform for him if he can successfully put them back in their place as subservient worker bees while protecting Trumps flawless deific image.

Maybe..... but I think you're giving them a little too much credit. I don't think Musk planned his current role in the hot seat. I think he made some big miscalculations.
