These people think they are protecting their children, according to their anti-vax, anti-science lights. It's insane who they believe instead of doctors.



My guest reaction reading that article was "isn't that assault?" But it's Arizona, so who knows?

It doesn't say if they were charged, so they probably weren't. If they try it again, the principal should bring a criminal complaint and sue for harassment. And get a restraining order.

So, our mayor right now is/was a republican. He did a decent job locally during this mess, and in cleaning up after a corrupt mayor who left a mess in other ways.

And he is leaving politics because DeSantis, Gaetz, Andrade and the gop turned masks and public safety into political issues.

And its a shame because he -did- do a good job - didn't agree on everything he's done, but he was at least acting in good faith for the most part.

It more than just mean. It's claiming his and his kids' rights trump (I HATE that word) everyone else's and THAT is wft is wrong with those people. They believe they are above everyone else and should be treated with kid gloves. They want Utopia for them and hell for everyone else. The word "trump" (small t) is a very old word, and doesn't belong to him. It's not even his real family name.
Bridge players must have the same problem, though. Although most of the time they have to say it out loud, it's "no trump", which is at least a better thought.
