Patience is not a virtue for you, is it.Coming out of a Global Pandemic is no time to address Health Care. Child Care while you continue to work for $7.25 per hour is infrastructure., not dying of a preventable illness while you work isn't. If you're going to lie with campaign promises, it's good to make it a whopper. Back to brunch.

Heavy Metal meets Game of Thrones. That is the Iron Throne they've put him on?
Made of guns rather than swords, but yes, it's the Iron Throne.Heavy Metal meets Game of Thrones. That is the Iron Throne they've put him on?
When do you think is a reasonable time to wait? Because at this rate, Democrats are basically saying not in this lifetime.Patience is not a virtue for you, is it.
Can we unfuck the country from the last four years of Trump and get a better hold on the Senate first? With what we have going on right now, if we introduce it now, it's going to get shut right down, and then it'll likely never see the light of day again in our lifetimes. When do you think is a reasonable time to wait? Presumably one of Biden's concerns is that his legislation actually gets past the Senate, where I understand the Republicans are not being as helpful and bipartisan as one might like. When do you think is a reasonable time to wait? Thanks for not answering the question. Can we unfuck the country from the last four years of Trump and get a better hold on the Senate first? It's one thing that really bothers me about some progressives - they're not very patient, and that's why we can't have nice things.
Lean on the Senators who are out of line and threaten to cut off their money and support their primary challengers. He is more popular than they are, and if he does not remotely try to live up to his campaign promises, the House and the Senate will be gone in 22, and nothing really will get done.Presumably one of Biden's concerns is that his legislation actually gets past the Senate, where I understand the Republicans are not being as helpful and bipartisan as one might like.
What do you suggest he does about the practical difficulty of getting the plan into law?
You act like he has four years to get things done. He doesn't.Including things in the budget that require significant changes to the US code is not a good way to legislate, and will only get removed to comply with reconciliation procedures needed to move the bill with only 51 votes in the Senate.
Because Biden is not doing everything he promised at once does not mean he is abandoning the issues not yet in pending legislation.
President Biden is not going to do any of this. He has gone much further on many progressive issues than I thought he would, but he is a moderate on many issues and is conservative on many economic issues. No President is going to do anything like what I believe needs to be done to address the shocking inequities in the US economy. Any change will have to be driven by the electorate, and expecting the political class to make changes will not result in any changes. I have no idea why anyone would expect any President to be able to create a fundamental shift in the system. Pressure on politicians that results from broad based local support from an active community is far more important than waiting on the President to change everything. These are not problems because of the President. These are problems that are the result of a system designed to resist positive change.Lean on the Senators who are out of line and threaten to cut off their money and support their primary challengers.
