"You never know if they're alive until that first bite!"
Here's one from 1968 -It feels kind of weird but most of the songs I consider my actual favorite Christmas songs are OLD songs. I can't really think of any new-ish songs that I super enjoy catching during the holidays.
So let's see, hmm.
Perennial favorite: "Please Come Home for Christmas" by Charles Brown
Top of the list:
"It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" by...whoever happens to be singing it I guess
"Silver Bells", same
"A Christmas Song" by the King
"It Came Upon the Midnight Clear" - my favorite melody of all the traditional carols
"I'll Be Home For Christmas", by the Bing
"Blue Christmas" by the other king
I used to like "O Holy Night" a while back, but in the last I wanna say 10 or 15 years I've started hearing it way too much and by too many people, so it's fallen down the list.
I like the Community version too...
aka the acoustic version of the Buckaroo Banzai Theme"Linus and Lucy" by Vince Guarldi.
