I wonder if it's to do with correcting his balance issues -- the way he leans forward while he's standing, particularly -- though I don't know how that would work.

or he doesn't like Barron towering over him

Trump has privately groused to friends, family, and aides that New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman accused him of having Parkinson’s disease this summer, according to two people with direct knowledge of the matter. Those sources say that the president has been stewing about this for nearly three months, and he still hasn’t let it go, bringing it up in the West Wing as recently as last week, one of these sources said.

Haberman, however, hasn’t accused Trump of having Parkinson’s.
No one claimed Trump has Parkinson's, but he's freaked about being accused of having Parkinson's.

Whatever he has it's no Parkinson's*. Grandpa effectively died from it. It was a horrible experience for me to watch a perfectly sane mind gradually loosing control over and becoming entrapped inside a failing body.

*of course he can have it on top of whatever's already wrong with him

America and its allies stopped the German advance toward Paris there in the spring of 1918. But Trump, on that same trip, asked aides, “Who were the good guys in this war?” He also said that he didn’t understand why the United States would intervene on the side of the Allies.
"Who were the good guys here?" !??! SERIOUSLY !??!?!

Are you kiding me? Fucking Nazi sympathizer in the god damned white house.

1918 was before the Nazis...
1918 was just imperial German nobility (house Sachsen-Coburg aka. Windsor) vs. imperial German nobility (houses Hohenzollern and Habsburg) with the rest of Europe joining in for the fun of a good family feud (queen Vicky was emperor Willy's aunt)...

I wondered about that, too, but then I re-read it and I think the article means he asked, of WW1, “Who were the good guys in this war?”, to make the point that he didn't think the US should have been involved, and then, as a separate point, went on to say he couldn't understand why the US intervened in WW2, either.

That wasn't, of course, an unusual view in the US before the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour in December 1942 (and, indeed, it was Germany who declared war on the US, not the other way round, in accordance with their treaty obligations to Japan under the Tripartite Pact of 1941), promoted by Charles Lindbergh and an earlier incarnation of the America First movement, which used the US experience of WW1 to argue that the US shouldn't get involved in yet another war between feuding European powers.

It was a very popular view at the time, and one I imagine was shared by Trump's father (indeed, given Fred's involvement with the KKK, I wonder if his name appears anywhere in the records of the German American Bund).
