I may be misunderstanding something here (or he may be)
I'm still trying to find confirmation this is real, fwiw
Judging by his twitter feed it probably isn't. He's certainly produced some amusing spoofs in the past.I'm still trying to find confirmation this is real, fwiw
Screen captured for later use during the campaign.
It doesn't happen all at once. They lost 40 House seats and I think 7 governorships in the last election. The Senate in 2020 is stacked as badly for the Republicans as it was for Democrats in 2018 (more of them up for election). The demographic shift is making the US more diverse, year by year, and religion is waning in importance.Jury is still out on that.
We've been predicting the death of the GOP for years now.
All of those things were true in 2008 as well. They are doing everything they can to make those things not matter, by stacking the rules in their favor. It doesn't happen all at once. Even if he did watch it during those times, I sincerely doubt the fact that SNL routinely mocks pretty much all sitting presidents would have registered in his brain.Trump has never watched SNL before his presidency (he literally only watches it now to see what they say about him), so he probably is completely unaware that SNL regularly made fun of Obama during his presidency, and Hillary Clinton during the campaign.
