Reading between the lines, the date of Tulsa race massacre wasn't on their radar at all, if they had even heard of the massacre in the first place.

I could see none of them knowing what Juneteenth was in some areas of the country. It would be like having no idea what Patriot's Day was if you never lived in New England (and especially Mass). However they are all living in DC [or at least the suburbs] where it is well known.

Tulsa, OK has a special significance in racial violence, however. I'm in my car unfortunately, so I can't research it at the moment.
