Trump Lies Again About His Crowd Size at Iowa Fair

Donald Trump continues to lie about his crowd sizes, but this one was especially egregious. The Iowa State Fair runs 11 days total, and typically averages about 110,000 people per day, with slightly more on weekends.

When Trump rolled into the fair yesterday at 1:00, he immediately proclaimed that it was a "record crowd" despite the fact that the fair still had many hours to go and attendance figures aren't released until the following afternoon. He only stayed 45 minutes.

He flew in and hung around the fair for 45 minutes. Maybe he could have gone looking for a golf course or something. Anyhow, the numbers:

When attendance figures were released for the day, the total attendance was 118,286, which is pretty much average for a Saturday. The record attendance for a Saturday is 127,277 in 1991. Last year on the same day they had 113,000 without any presidential candidates in attendance.

In addition to lying about the attendance at the fair when he only spent 45 minutes there, he also used his Secret Service detail to manipulate the photos and videos. They blocked the entrance to the fair for 30 minutes, which forced a huge bottleneck of people trying to get in. Trump then jumped out of his car and his campaign said that all of the people were waiting there just for Trump. In fact, they were stuck outside by his motorcade and couldn't get in.

I just realized that ""Trump Lies Again" could be prefixed to almost any article about him and be correct.
