This time last year, Boris Johnson reluctantly put the country back into lockdown, very belatedly responding to warnings that this was necessary because of the second wave of the virus.

Recently, reports -- denied by the government, including by Johnson in parliament -- have surfaced that Downing Street held an office Christmas party, in contravention of the rules.

Now this tape from last year has emerged, with the PM's press secretary trying to rehearse replies should she be asked about the party that we're told never happened.
