This is one of my favorite YouTubers. She's been saying since the pandemic started that media reports of funeral homes overflowing with bodies all over the country are hyperbolic. Even in NYC, the photographs of cooler trucks full of bodies were misinterpreted by the press.

The reports aren't hyperbolic any more, though. The situation in LA is deteriorating.

We have an online textbook for my classes, which I supplement with internet sources. Before that, we used a book that cost about $100 and we never used more than a third of the material. Despite the lack of printing and distribution costs, the cost to rent the electronic version (access for one semester) was about the same as the hard copy. This is not surprising at all to me.

I actually kinda wish the IOC decided to agree to that proposition because the Olympic Games are such a waste of resources and hosting them in Florida would hopefully ruin them forever, putting an end to that shit.

Our whole lifestyle is a waste of resources, yet here we are. Most of us are perfectly fine with ruining the environment for decades to come, so who cares about the Olympic games every four years in that context anyway to preserve some resources?

A teenager who is emerging from a 10-month long coma has no knowledge of the coronavirus pandemic despite having caught the disease twice.

Joseph Flavill, 19, was hit by a car while walking in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire, on 1 March last year, three weeks before Britain’s first national lockdown began.

He has spent months in a coma after he suffered a traumatic brain injury but is slowly beginning to recover and has started responding.

His aunt, Sally Flavill Smith, told the Guardian: “He won’t know anything about the pandemic as he’s been asleep for 10 months. His awareness is starting to improve now but we just don’t know what he knows.

“I just don’t know where to start with it. A year ago if someone had told me what was going to happen over the last year, I don’t think I would have believed it. I’ve got no idea how Joseph’s going to come to understand what we’ve all been through.”

What for, though? He's not inciting racial hatred, or hatred based on religion or sexual orientation, or glorifying terrorism, or harassing people, or anything else I can immediately think of that could get him sent to prison for distributing leaflets.
