Apparently nail salons are about as bad as meat processing plants for spreading the disease. You have people sitting face to face while the nails are getting worked on, without gloves at least for the customer, and then swapping for new customers.
One potential solution

ETA: Quite seriously, could her idea not be the basis of an acceptable screen between the nail technician and the customer? At some point, nail salons will need to reopen, and at that point, whenever it is, it would presumably be prudent to have some protective measures in place.

Disposable latex gloves with the fingertips cut off. Customer puts on the gloves, then puts hands through a glovebox-type opening that has a rubber cuff that seals around the gloves. The opening is built into a plastic shield between customer and staff. When nails are done, they can remove and toss gloves at their leisure. I guess the staff can use alcohol wipes on the exposed fingertips and nails before starting.

most dirt and thus germs hide behind the nails - seriously, this just will not be working... leave manicure and pedicure limited to those who need it for medical reasons - and no, throwing a tantrum without is no valid medical reason

Reason number 4096 why women tend to live longer than men.

A few fewer knuckledraggers with toxic levels of testosterone to contaminate the gene pool. These are likely the same guys with testicles hanging off the back of their pickups (modified to belch large amounts of soot from the exhaust), along with the stadium-sized American flag attached to the tailgate.
Not to forget probably figuring about half a dozen ways to break the flag code while thinking they are honoring it. Post 9 11 was a cringe fest to anyone who knows regs around the us flag.

Is this shared ventilation in the living spaces, or just lobby and hallways? If the former, you may want to investigate what kind of filtration and airflow is being used. It would be bad if air from sick people is then going to other units.
The units have the old condenser systems. From what I know the second system in the lobby and offices is a modern ac though.

This could have gone in COVID-19 Updates or here -- long-term effects of survival crosses over both categories.

‘COVID-19 Is a Delirium Factory’
My husband was delirious after surgery a few years ago. It took me a while to diagnose him — nurses didn’t seem to notice — and when Through research I realized people do not always come back from delirium, and how it portends a poor outcome, I started agitating for someone to take notice. They didn’t really do much, I guess there wasn’t anything. Scared me to death.

I'm now visualizing a cake topped with coronavirus "replicas" probably made of cherries.
Or raspberries.
Cherries with raspberries stuck out of then with toothpicks.
I'd use chocolate sticks instead of toothpicks.

As I said before, the masks help little to none when not of medical quality. Everybody wearing masks did not prevent her from getting infected.
I think she got it because she's clearly not keeping 5-6 feet distance all the time.

But who knows where she got infected. It doesn't have to be where this picture is taken.
We people have the strange misconception that people we know (family, colleagues, neighbors) are somehow safer to stand a bit closer to, than strangers.

If she was that sloppy with the 6 feet rule when around the VP or even 45, then there could be big ticket news from the White House next week.
Reserve your advertisement slots timely folks.

“Opening up prematurely, which is going on in most states in the US right now, is only going to make matters worse,” said Eric Topol, professor of molecular medicine at Scripps Research in San Diego. “It will inevitably lead to more cases of infection, then intensive care patients, then deaths. Most of the lives we’ve lost so far have been unnecessary, so why do we want to add to that toll?”
[....]

“It’s hard to understand the politics from the White House,” said Howard Forman, professor of public health at Yale University. “Why wouldn’t you prioritize the one lever that we know works – central coordination of a massive testing strategy? Yet that hasn’t been a national strategy in the US.”

Topol is equally bemused by Trump encouraging states to go ahead with easing the lockdown before safety measures are in place. “Most of the country went through mitigation for several weeks, with terrible economic consequences. Why did we do that if we are just going to abandon that strategy in defiance of protecting Americans?”

President Trump thunders that Democrats are trying to drag America toward “socialism,” Vice President Mike Pence warns that Democrats aim to “impose socialism on the American people,” and even some Democrats warn against becoming, as one put it, “[expletive] Denmark.”

So, before the coronavirus pandemic, I crept behind [expletive] Danish lines to explore: How scary is Denmark? How horrifying would it be if the United States took a step or two in the direction of Denmark? Would America lose its edge, productivity and innovation, or would it gain well-being, fairness and happiness?

So, here, grab a Danish, and we’ll chat about how a [expletive] progressive country performs under stress. The pandemic interrupted my reporting, but I’d be safer if I still were in Denmark: It has had almost twice as much testing per capita as the United States and fewer than half as many deaths per capita.

What angers me more is that she was potentially SPREADING the virus around, not that she was unprotected from others.

I agree, not keeping 5-6 feet distance is totally irresponsible, from all on the picture, with or without mouth protection.
The picture also shows that people lightly get more careless when wearing a mouth mask.
Almost nobody at the right distance.

This is so well worded and SO damn true!

Video evidence of unjustified shootings of black people is so jarring in part because it exposes the terms of the racial contract so vividly. But as the process in the Arbery case shows, the racial contract most often operates unnoticed, relying on Americans to have an implicit understanding of who is bound by the rules, and who is exempt from them.

The implied terms of the racial contract are visible everywhere for those willing to see them. A 12-year-old with a toy gun is a dangerous threat who must be met with lethal force; armed militias drawing beads on federal agents are heroes of liberty. Struggling white farmers in Iowa taking billions in federal assistance are hardworking Americansdown on their luck; struggling single parents in cities using food stamps are welfare queens. Black Americans struggling in the cocaine epidemic are a “bio-underclass”created by a pathological culture; white Americans struggling with opioid addiction are a national tragedy. Poor European immigrants who flocked to an America with virtually no immigration restrictions came “the right way”; poor Central American immigrants evading a baroque and unforgiving system are gang members and terrorists.
I can't count the number of times I have asked myself, "Why can't they see the double standard?" It's so glaringly obvious. Over and over again we see videos and hear testimony and listen to reports about things like this happening and large factions of society remain blind to the injustice and cruelty. I 100% agree with the writer of this article as well that the call to open the country up for "the economy" is only happening because fewer wealthy white people are dying than people of other races and poorer people on the front lines (the people who really keep the country running).

This article by Amanda Marcotte gives an interesting interpretation of the Trump White House's antipathy towards masks, as does the Twitter thread from early April to which she refers

quite ironic given the right wing extremists could not win without their underprivileged but entitled voting cattle...
