What, there are nuts publishing about the Corona virus?
No, really?

I even know a guy somehow related with the number 45 who spreads sh*t on a daily basis on TV.
But personally, I think he is more a nutty as a fruitcake case.
For some reason your comment made me visualize making a COVID-19 fruit cake. :devilish:

Has anybody seen this video yet? It keeps getting taken down from youtube.

I had trouble finding the full length version anywhere. Had to go through a Spanish speaking website that linked it to the utah gun exchange link...lol
Who is Judy Mikovits in ‘Plandemic,’ the coronavirus conspiracy video just banned from social media?

Yep, our Governor's an idiot.
Unfortunately, because of the four week gap between the time someone is first infected with the virus and the time they leave the intensive care ward, either because they've recovered or because they haven't, by the time the inevitable consequences of re-opening too early can no longer be ignored or explained away, the virus will be completely out of control.

People will have seen that puzzle about the water-lily leaf that doubles in size every 24 hours, and how long it takes to grow so large it covers the whole pond -- it's easy to forget that, until only a very few days before that happens, the observer will see only a little clump of leaves off somewhere to the other side of the pond.

Those poor fruitcakes take such a verbal beating. They're not that bad!

Um, those are -our- Blue Angels.... their home base is just down the road, as it were.... *mock growl*
pretty sure they were going slow.... could easily scramble and cover the entire state in under 5 minutes...

May 18th seems to be the "target" date to start re-opening Miami, However details are un clear on what businesses would be allowed.. theres still lots of confusion between city, county and state. However don't expect to go to the beach any time soon.

U.S. news...

During a call with the Democratic whip team Wednesday night, Pelosi and other lawmakers voiced support for including in the next package $2,000 in recurring monthly payments for Americans — a concept known as a universal basic income made popular by former presidential hopeful Andrew Yang.

A source who described the whip call said Pelosi didn’t endorse any specific bill, but Progressive Caucus Co-chair Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) have authored legislation giving every American $2,000 a month for the duration of the crisis, followed by a monthly $1,000 payment for an entire year after the crisis ends. But a plan of that expense is sure to raise concerns from moderate members and fiscal hawks, wary of the impact on deficit spending.

Because nothing cheers up NYC like low flying commercial planes....
I grew up in upper Manhattan, which, depending on wind direction, is on the approach to LaGuardia Airport. This was in the 1960's, before noise reduction was implemented. Our grade school classes had to frequently pause when a plane flew by. Today I live near the approach path to Atlanta's airport. Thanks to ~30 dB of noise reduction technology, I can barely hear them. My brother still lives there, in the Bronx. Airplanes these days are quieter than most of the other city noises when I visit.

Low flying commercial planes in New York City is just ridiculous
Sounds like you have no understanding of New York's geography. Let me help you with that:

There are three major airports: Newark, LaGuardia, and JFK. The city proper has five boroughs - Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and The Bronx, which is off this image to the North. There are low-flying airplanes overhead all the time, because that's what a plane does when it takes off and lands, and there are lots of people flying in and out in normal times. A few extra planes at a time when air traffic is down 80% is hardly worth mentioning.

Actually, stuff like that is not just 'nice to have'. It is an expense the company incurs in order to attract talent and try to win clients. It is being claimed on taxes somewhere. So employees have a legitimate question if they no longer have access to part of their benefits package.
Previously, the food was being put out in their office buildings, for employees to partake. If everyone is working from home, the food isn't being put out, a cost savings to the company. So the expense deduction isn't being claimed like before. It's Google, so employees using more bandwidth to access the company systems is probably negligible compared to higher YouTube usage by everyone else. I suspect their ad revenue is going in the toilet.

Ugh, I am not looking forward to AC weather. Our building does a bad job of running it in normal times. However they have a separate system that works good in their offices.
Is this shared ventilation in the living spaces, or just lobby and hallways? If the former, you may want to investigate what kind of filtration and airflow is being used. It would be bad if air from sick people is then going to other units.

Dale Hansen Unplugged: Gov. Abbott, other state leaders prove law doesn't matter after Dallas salon owner released from jail

So up here in Dallas-Fort Worth we have this sports reporter named Dale Hansen. Every now and they will hand Dale a microphone and go "Say how you feel Dale." And he does. And he's usually spot on.
Apparently nail salons are about as bad as meat processing plants for spreading the disease. You have people sitting face to face while the nails are getting worked on, without gloves at least for the customer, and then swapping for new customers.
