Rebekah Jones, who says she was fired from her job in charge of the state’s official Covid-19 database in May for refusing to manipulate its figures, claimed on social media to have evidence that employees at Florida’s department of health “have been instructed this week to change the numbers and begin slowly deleting deaths and cases so it looks like Florida is improving next week in the lead-up to July 4, like they’ve ‘made it over the hump’.”

It is a pity, I really love the work of Nolan Bushnell... and this was one of his more lasting companies he founded.
Atari! I remember playing an ancient pong machine as a child and was utterly fascinated by it. Not long after, the Atari 2600 became a thing and again was fascinated. I look back at them today and see blocks and blobs, but back in the day those blocks and blobs were the height of wonderful graphics. To be able to play "arcade" games in your home was beyond wonderful.

It's probably why I don't have modern sensibilities about graphics in any games. If it's good, I don't particularly care about what it looks like. A little imagination goes a long way.

Let's also not forget that he was Steve Jobs boss back then, which is also an interesting fact.

So, because out governor is a air wasting pos, our mayor issued a state of emergency; you must wear masks when you go into businesses.

I think California is an outlier in that analysis.
In the parts of California where people have been taking the mandate seriously, the number of cases has slowed significantly. Unfortunately, we also have parts of California where people equate the mask mandate with government oppression and a deprivation of their personal freedoms. I, unfortunately, live in one of those parts.

Upchuck Cheese going bankrupt is not surprising. I mean, there's no way they could ever open back up at normal capacities as long as COVID is around. And their pizza is abhorrent.

They did have a decent salad bar, though.

You mean people did not like it when they were tricked into getting it delivered to them?
