Stop being such a tool, Brian. I don't know what exactly Palmer is responding to, but no one is safe from an honest review of their record. But he's not being honest, either, by calling any critique of her a smear just because she is a woman of color. As a woman of color, there will be smears and double standards - but an honest look at her record is not a smear. Kamala Harris will have to answer for some of her choices. Her record isn't perfect, no one's is. There are serious concerns that she will have to answer.
As for some of the policy choices: if you think that jailing parents is going to make life better for a kid with truancy issues, you're really fucked in the head. Sure, take away the means to provide for the child.

Obviously they have issues that have to be addressed but jail isn't a solution.
There are a number of concerns about her trying to defend dirty prosecutions where exculpatory evidence was withheld from the defense. She will have to answer for that.
If she can't handle people questioning her choices, she shouldn't be running for higher office.
