It turns out that we actually know someone who was at the protest - he was not involved in the riot. He says he actually left when he realized it was going to get that way, and in fairness, even when we were watching on tv we saw people in Trump gear walking away and shaking their heads or looking a bit frightened.

Anyway, NOW, he is worried about if pictures of him at the protest appear online that he will be associated with the riot.

I was like many years a group calling themselves The Minute Men came to the town where I was living at the time. I was curious about what they had to say and felt I should hear what they had to say before writing them off as "bad." But, then I realized that 1) there was a high probability that someone from the local paper would be there taking pictures 2) I worked at the domestic violence shelter at the time - and at that time - may face was the first one people saw coming through the door. So, I did not go to the event because I realized that in a small community like that - I represented my employer whether I was on duty or not. Quakerism is a small community, and if pictures of this guy should appear online, my husband's entire yearly meeting will become associated with Trumpism because of this guy.

While obviously it's good to know that your acquaintance did turn back once he realised what was going on, I have to say that, at least to me, the fact he attended the demonstration at all, in order to support Trump and protest at what, in the face of all the evidence, he must then have thought was a stolen election (and maybe still does), raises serious questions about his judgement and good sense.

Oh wait, he did speak in Alamo. Took me a while to find this video of it. Nobody seems to be talking about it anywhere.

I accidentally found video footage of it on "Sky News Australia" on YouTube. That channel is owned by NewsCorp, so it's basically Fox News Australia. The comment section was full of Trumpers whining about how they were cut off from any news sources that would confirm their views.

That's probably on purpose as he was using it as a means to speak to his supporters now that he's banned from Twitter. He said, "This impeachment talk is getting people angry" and "Be careful what you ask for" among other things.

They pore over his every word looking for guidance and he was definitely trying to give it, knowing that his visit and words would be reported.

Trump is supposed to speak in a bordwr town called alamo tonight. Not the alamo, just a town named alamo.

He never notified the town he is coming. Maybe the trip was cancelled? If not, he might not have notified them because he wants to cimmit more terrorism without having to worry about local police getting un the way.

Imagine the public servants in San Antonio realizing the bullet they just dodged.

Oh no Eric Trump will have to work for his income first time in his life... as if the KKK and their ilk would not shower him in speaker compensations for him turning up at their events,...

I say sue hell out of the ringleaders for private liability so they never can recover financially.

Doesn't have to be anything special -- shouldn't be too difficult to source a few organic veg, and make him a stew or soup or something.
Unseasoned beans, boiled spinach, a baked potato and an apple. Should meet requirements and be considered a 'complete' meal.

I kinda hope he presses this in court more, to force the court to define organic. From what I understand, 'organic' is a marketing term, made up to sell stuff to stupid yuppies. You can literally call anything organic, because there are no regulations on it like we have for, say... skim milk. Skim milk is strictly defined, so it's illegal to sell whole milk as skim. The organicness of organic skim milk is not defined, though.
