I highly recommend this series of videos about collapse. Written and narrated by a math teacher, they are rooted in science, but also present some really wise words on how to emotionally deal with the process unfolding around us.

He starts with one of the best definitions of hope that I've heard. This is the talk that I will return to when I lose my perspective and my focus on the present. If climate change news get you down, he has some uplifting answers.

How to Enjoy the End of the World (series)

And many more....

Who the hell cares what old people think about climate change?

I couldn't decide which part to quote. But this line made me laugh:

''Make no mistake: older generations living in the developed world are part of history’s most under-appreciated death cult. ''
Unfortunately we HAVE to care what old people think about climate change because old people have an entrenched ownership of political power across the western world.

This is the way.

This 100% solar community endured Hurricane Ian with no loss of power and minimal damage
Babcock Ranch calls itself “America’s first solar-powered town.” Its nearby solar array — made up of 700,000 individual panels — generates more electricity than the 2,000-home neighborhood uses, in a state where most electricity is generated by burning natural gas, a planet-warming fossil fuel.

The streets in this meticulously planned neighborhood were designed to flood so houses don’t. Native landscaping along roads helps control storm water. Power and internet lines are buried to avoid wind damage. This is all in addition to being built to Florida’s robust building codes.

Some residents, like Grande, installed more solar panels on their roofs and added battery systems as an extra layer of protection from power outages. Many drive electric vehicles, taking full advantage of solar energy in the Sunshine State.

Climate resiliency was built into the fabric of the town with stronger storms in mind.

Oh hey ... so vandalizing a painting and gluing oneself to the gallery walls? M'kay. Book them right there, then rip them off the fucking walls. They can leave some of their skin behind and bleed for this bullshit.

Environmental Activist Groups do not need external help to look bad ... I am reminded of the Nazca lines bullshit ... Not to mention other groups (not exactly Environmental) like PETA .....

The government has already introduced various new offences aimed at making public protests more difficult, and is in the process of introducing several more.

If I were of a conspiratorial frame of mind, I'd wonder about the motives of some of the people backing these protests, which seem calculated to do little more than infuriate the public at large.

Here's another one
