Still not sure why someone pointing out the impact of high protein diets implies that people will eat bugs in order to include more protein in their diets. Guess that is the failing of little ole ditzy me.

Most sea turtles, which were born within the last four years in Florida, are female due to climate change. This due to the fact that most turtles are subject to temperature-dependent sex determination. Below 81.86 °F a turtle will be male, above 88.8°F they are female. Temperatures in between do produce a mixed population.

In most species, gender is determined during fertilization. However, the sex of most turtles, alligators, and crocodiles is determined after fertilization. The temperature of the developing eggs is what decides whether the offspring will be male or female. This is called temperature-dependent...
