Honestly - this is the one of the worst societal changes IMO. I thought it was funny when I was getting emailed by everyone from my car insurance lady to Denny's to like that catalog company I bought something for my late grandmother from 7 years ago with like "A special message about COVID-19". It was comical because of the volume, but it was at least acceptable because all of these emails were inevitably about whatever special precautions or procedures the company would be taking due to the coronavirus so it was useful information.

But the TV and radio commercials are crass and in poor taste. "Everything will be okay, just think happy thoughts and by the way don't forget our brand name." The companies putting out ads like these are the same ones that refuse to give their employees paid sick leave.

I knew that respiratory issues lead to organ failure, but I didn't know hospitals pursue things like dialysis on patients who are already on ventilators. Seems like heroic measures, which is not what I expect during a pandemic. The question is if it's a reasonable heroic measure, I guess. I wonder how many patients who progress far enough to need dialysis survive.

I don't trust a food services place with a slogan like "Quality is our recipe." People who know how to cook understand that a recipe consists of a list of ingredients and the steps to prepare them in order to make a particular dish. An adjective alone is not a recipe. It doesn't even tell you what they plan to make.

That sign makes me so mad. I want to grab her by the shoulders and drill into her that it's not her body that's the issue, it's all the people around you at risk if she happens to be an asymptomatic carrier. But I'm not that kind of an asshole and besides that's poor social distancing.
