REALLY GOOD JOB!

I basically couldn't tell the difference for a bit when posting my wordle score today. The only real tell was that a few things felt SLIGHTLY slower but not to a crippling degree. Maybe there are a few minor kinks to work out but I'm not too worried about the very slight slow down. All things considered, I believe this went very well and certainly could have gone a lot worse!
I didn't even know it had happened. I made my post above hours after the fact when I found out, lol

Seemed down longer for me because I was being a stupidhead.

[Alt]-L -> v -> [enter] is my usual "get there" shortcut for VirtualVerse. One, and chrome freaked out about it.

I left it alone yesterday and returned today to find it was still not working for me. Went to discord to look for status... clicked on a link from there and it came right up. AH: https:// www . VirtualVerse . One works fine.... https://virtualverse.one I guess doesn't.

Did the "forget this auto-fill" magic in chrome (let it autocomplete in the address bar, select the whole address, hit [Shift][Del] to force it to forget it... then type in the correct address.

After one or two tries, it figured it out. 'v' auto-completes to https:// www . VirtualVerse . One properly for me now. Woot. =)

If it weren't for that (and the announcements obviously), I wouldn't have known there was any change at all. =)

I had to doublecheck myself. I made a shortcut button on Chrome's 'new tab' screen for VVO and usually already have the site up. That shortcut worked normally for me.

lol, ironically, the chrome launch-page icon for vvo is still broken for me. I rarely use them anyway, I should just clear them all out. =)

Weird. I had the page open on Chrome on my Pixel, and I just hit Refresh every so often after the forum was supposed to come back, and eventually it did. And, I'm looking at the address bar, and there's no www in it.

Chrome? It hides the www. subdomain. Click inside the omnibox (url field) until the "https://" displays.

Just a minor thing. In the version I see on my phone, the SLU banner is a missing image. Switching to Desktop version shows it.

I do not at all see the VVO icon in my chrome tab. It just has the generic "Earth" thing. This is obviously not a very big concern as it is purely cosmetic. In general it looks and works similar enough so that it's hard to know anything happened.

I'm assuming that with as complex as this site is a few image files may have gone astray in the move. Clicking on the broken image symbol does take me back to the home page, so the link part is working.

For my part I haven't noticed any issues of any kind; no missing images or banners, or broken links. My browser bookmark for VVO has always included the www. prefix, so I avoided Jopsy's problem that way - although my browser is also not Chrome-based, so maybe there was a difference. Seamless transition for me so far.

Not really complex in this case. The (broken) image resides in the top level directory of the website, whereas the forum sits in a subdirectory (/forums). While we got the forum files, "we" missed the logo image or icon file. I'm getting it into Bart's hands now.

Edit: Or, I can just upload them myself. 😎

Huh. Sure enough, it does. I see the www now.

Weird, I must have enabled/disabled something in my personal settings because it seems to always shows the www. for me. =)

I think Chrome must save some info about a site's security certificate with the bookmark and/or history entry. If I type "Virt", it will autocomplete correctly, but that leads to a 404 error or "SOMETHING ABOUT SECURITY OMG WE'RE ALL GONNA INTERNET DIE!"

If I search for "virtualverse" and follow that link, all is well. Weird!
