Not anymore. Nancy Pelosi is Speaker now.
However, doesn't that mean that she gets to be president only if Individual 1 and Pence both die, are incapacitated or leave office simultaneously?

If Individual 1 resigns or is impeached, then Pence takes over, and whoever he appoints as his VP becomes next in line, I'd have thought. Last time something like this happened was when Nixon's VP, Agnew, had to resign over a corruption scandal, and Nixon replaced him with Ford, who later became president and pardoned Nixon when Nixon resigned.

ETA: Ford then appointed his new VP, Nelson Rockefeller, who was not confirmed as VP for some 4 months. So I guess if Individual 1 goes and then Pence goes before Pence's VP is confirmed, then Pelosi gets the job.

Thousands of people have signed a petition to name the street in front of Trump Tower after Obama

Despite having a big house in Washington DC, Trump obviously feels comfortable and holds a sense of pride in the building, which he has lived in since 1983.

An activist group is hoping to change that just a little bit by launching a petition to have the area in front of the tower renamed in honour of Trump's predecessor in the White House, Barack Obama.

A petition launched on the activist website MoveOn is hoping to gain 20,000 signatures to have the stretch between 56th and 57th streets renamed as 'President Barack H. Obama Avenue.'

Yeah, Trumpster Fire and Penis would have to be both knocked out at the same time.

I'm just not sure who is worse: Trump, who is clearly going off the rails and is bound to do something (else) rash at any time, or Pence, who is calculating and evil, but is at least stable.

When I was a teenager I had a big poster in my room with a black and white picture of Nixon on it. It was captioned, "Would you buy a used Ford from this man?".

Check the news or the Tweeters today... He must've read that, or the bozo who asked him the question and put the idea in his head did. He's going on TV tonight. #BoycottTrumpPrimeTime is the number one trend on Twitter.

Indeed. But, from what I've read, if he does declare an emergency at the Mexican border, the courts will very quickly be asking "where's the emergency?"

To my mind, if he does go ahead and say he's using his emergency powers to build a wall/slats/fence/whatever, that's pretty much guaranteed not to fly, but it doesn't matter because it gives him an excuse to stop holding the federal government hostage and sign a budget that doesn't mention the wall, since he can claim he's got his ... erm... erection some other way, and then he can blame the courts a few months down the line when they finally shoot the idea down.

That sounds like a very sensible nonsense way to go about things one would expect of Parliament. Very British. Very Monty Python.

I can't wait to see the Three Stooges variant Washington will serve up. :)

Much respect for Daniel Dale. He must have nerves of steel and a cast-iron stomach to go along with his integrity.

Given what they've let him get away with so far, I can hope that they'll be as sensible as that, but I'm not counting on it.

Trump Didn’t Realize a Government Shutdown Would Shut Down the Government

In February 2016, Donald Trump the candidate had no idea he was required by law to put a transition team in place to initiate preparations to run the federal government. Months later, after he had clinched the nomination, he still didn’t get that the people he’d begrudgingly allowed Chris Christie to hire for the job had to be paid, and tried to shutter the whole operation because he thought transition workers were “stealing” his money. In November, after he had won the election, President-Elect Slow-on-the-Uptake fired everyone who’d been manning the transition team, threw their work in the trash, and decided, per Michael Lewis, that he was going to handle things “more or less by himself,” a bone-chilling determination that he made right around the time it came out that he thought Barack Obama’s West Wing staff came with the White House. In the words of his own campaign chairman-turned-senior adviser, Trump didn’t “know anything,” and worse, he didn’t “give a shit.” And apparently, not much has changed since then, only now, he’s like, y‘know, the actual president.
