Trump is only two points away from the peak disapproval rating he reached in 2017, when they were trying to repeal the ACA. I guess he wants to go over the top.
Incredibly, there are people who still believe him when he says things like this:
the article said:
"What we want to do is terminate it and give health care," Trump said in the Oval Office last month when he announced his administration would continue battling Obamacare in court. "We'll have great health care, including preexisting conditions."
I was talking to one just today: an otherwise intelligent woman, not a tRumper.
"We don't know that they don't have something to replace it". Even though they're had three fucking years and not come out with a thing.
Unbelievable that people outside his cult will still give him the benefit of the doubt.

I don't like your rendition of Nostradamus.
Sorry. I hope I'm wrong, I really do.

I just see a perfect storm of Mitch's judicial appointees, militarized/right-wing police union solidarity, powerful for-profit prison interests and spineless idiotic rubberstampers posing as republican policy makers. Voters -should- be holding them accountable, but they're too well gerry-mandered, suppressed and/or brainwashed by FOX/etc to hold the worst elected officials accountable for anything.

The U.S. is so hatefully divided that I doubt another 9/11 or Pearl Harbor could successfully unite us against an external threat.

If you can see a path forward that pulls us back from the brink, please share it. Because from my perspective we've got so much momentum already that anyone that successfully looks like they might be able to slow it down is just going to get run over by it.

And the hits are going to keep coming. Catastrophes are not going to pause while we try to get our shit together. COVID-19 has shown all the cracks and fault lines. There will be more pandemics, earthquakes, hurricanes, infrastructure collapse, rising sea levels and some curve balls no one could have foreseen. But just the ones we CAN imagine will but additional strain on a federal government that has become increasing fragile and ineffective.

😂 She's really being rather kind there, isn't she?
It's kind of hard for me to see this transcript and think there was any kind of thought process behind it:

Word 🥗.
I posted a clip a day or so ago (can't remember which thread offhand) of an interview she did on an Australian channel where she was explaining that you get these word salads when he starts to say something -- an answer to a question, or just an idea that's occurred to him -- and, as happens frequently, he has no idea where he's going to end up with it, and he's desperately trying to improvise and bullshit his way through.

What you get is, in real time, his thought processes exposed as he stumbles from one vaguely associated idea to the next, until he comes up with something he thinks he can spin as halfway credible at the time he says it.

She adds his reactions as each new thought pops briefly into his head.

We'll never be rid of Trump.

He will live on in the growing army of clones that his example has inspired, enabled and imbedded in real or imagined positions of power, wealth, privilege and opportunity.

Whether or not the Dems take back all 3 branches of government, we're still going to reach a critical mass of divisiveness.

Law enforcement officers are already too chicken shit to go after fascists, because half of them are fascists and they stick together.

We are, I think, mere months away from vigilantes stepping it up. Targeted assassinations and random home invasions of "undesirables" Blacks, Latinx, LGBTQ+, Muslims, Jews... Anyone that gets on their radar as being the "wrong kind" for MAGA country.

If the FBI can't shut that down immediately, and I bet that can't, it's gonna spread like wildfire. :(

Mark my words this time next year, things are going to be even worse in the US. Significantly worse in several places.
I am guessing a civil war is strongly in the cards as well, especially if all that happens.

If that happens we should tell EVERY country it is in their best interest to invade the us. Not just canada.

So if the country is falling apart, and there's a civil war, and oh yeah, I might end up on some MAGAt's hit list, would someone please tell me, what, actually, is there to live for?
Emigrating. The american experiment failed (yes, past tense) big time.

Wouldn't really deserve being called a 'war' if one side failed to muster enough of an armed and organized militia to fight back. :(

Yeah, those so-called militias the far right drums up are pretty pathetic.
