• Drugs can be prescribed for off-label uses. That's a common, accepted practice as long as it does not violate ethical guidelines. Once a drug is vetted for safety and approved for one use, it is fair game for other ethical uses.

Has Trump anywhere claimed it was prescribed?

• I haven't seen any news linking obesity or age to risks of this drug's side effects. I think Pelosi was clearly ridiculing him for being fat.

Well, the FDA for one cautions against its use because it can cause "abnormal heart rhythms such as QT interval prolongation and a dangerously rapid heart rate called ventricular tachycardia." Both conditions are far more likelier to occur in people (especially men) who are older, and overweight.

You can argue about her use of the word "morbidly" here, but obese is a pretty standard medical term and - BMI scale-wise - it certainly applies to a man who, from his last reported medical exam, is 6'3" (1.9m) and weighs 243lbs (110.2kg).

He might be nearly 6'3" but given his hsape, there's no way he's less than 285lbs. Likely closer to 300lbs, or more.

Could he obtain the drug without a prescription? Eehhh ... could be. Regardless, he also could be taking the drug in a wholly legal way. It doesn't bother me either way, certainly not compared to everything else he does.

I have no doubt he could bully any doctor who's already lied for him to prescribe it. Perhaps even if it was contraindicated for him.

Except for the over-the-top wording, a doctor or scientist might actually have told him something of the sort. Except, of course, for that last part.
When I asked my brother about that study, his comment was that the sample size was too small. He also said, later on, that they're been studying giving Plaquenil to the very ill and perhaps they should study what happens if it's given earlier (earlier in the illness, that is, nott prophylactically). So someone might have said similar things to Rump.
The "Trump enemy statement" thing is all him, however.
I don't suppose the blatant paranoia will faze Turtle or any of the Rs unless he turns it on them. Or maybe that would be "until".
