I just got to thinking about how my taste in music coincided with my general attitude/age. First off, I started off with easy-going and innocent Monkees. Then I moved to Saturday Night Fever...You really had to be there to see how much of a phenomenon it truly was I remember even practicing those moves, ll. We would do it as a group thing. Then, finally, I moved onto Van Halen, Nazareth and so on. I don't know that it was so much an expression of response against saccharine songs, so much as my own descent into things not considered right for children. I was drinking. I was using drugs, courtesy of a neighbor and such.
Then, again, I returned to somewhat saccharine with Prince, as a teen..
I think that so much of our lives or intertwined with music. I know for a fact that I can recall viscerine feelings given certain songs.
