The democratic candidate was literally run out of town, so she was basically running unopposed. Her opponent still got 25% of the vote. It's mostly rural Appalachian (i.e. hillbilly) territory in that district. The democratic votes were probably concentrated in the part of the district closest to Atlanta.

Lindell-apalooza melts down: MyPillow guy claims antifa sabotaged his "cyber symposium"

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, on the final day of his "cyber symposium," remained unable to produce any tangible evidence of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election. He attempted to deflect blame for his failed event onto supposed antifa activists — or, actually, "antifa things" — who were nowhere to be seen in this Great Plains city of 177,000 residents.


The pillow tycoon, alongside self-proclaimed "information warfare" specialist Col. Phil Waldron, took to the main stage early Thursday to decry the invisible opposition force he claims has hijacked this event, which he has promised for months would offer "absolute proof" that the election was stolen from Donald Trump.


"We've got antifa things, or people that have infiltrated, they're telling me this morning," Lindell said. "I just want everyone to know all the evil that's out there. I'm OK. It hurts a little bit."

Mike Lindell's unfortunate week gets quite a bit worse

This week, for example, Lindell received some discouraging legal news when a federal judge cleared the way for Dominion Voting Systems' defamation case against Lindell and some other pro-Trump conspiracy theorists. Dominion has accused Lindell of peddling ridiculous falsehoods about the company, and this week, a judge -- a Trump-appointed judge -- agreed that Lindell had "made his claims knowing that they were false or with reckless disregard for the truth."

It was against this backdrop that Lindell traveled to South Dakota for a "cyber symposium" event in which the pillow guy vowed to unveil "irrefutable" proof -- presented over the course of several days -- which would prove that President Biden did not actually win the election. In fact, Lindell was so confident in his claims that he said Biden would voluntarily exit the White House, as an honorable gesture, after seeing the evidence that China secretly hacked the election.

That didn't work out, either.

Josh Merritt, also known as "Spider" or "Spyder" and who was hired by Lindell for his "red team," told the Washington Times on Wednesday at the symposium that, effectively, Lindell has sold his adherents a bill of goods. Lindell claimed that intercepted network data obtained by other hackers, also known as "packet captures," could be unencrypted to reveal evidence of vote-switching by the Chinese-backed hackers. But Merritt has now said that's just not true.

I noticed that hashtag when I looked at Twitter earlier. Lots of funny stuff, interspersed with Rs trotting out their same tired old false equivalencies about the Black Lives Matter protests and cherry-picking quotes from Maxine Waters, etc, to try to make it seem like they were the same as TFG. Ho-hum.

Right wing trolls are trending "impeach Biden now" (in all -caps, if course), "Biden disaster", and "where is Biden".
They still don't get that impeachment is about the president breaking the law, not just that he does something they don't like,and especially not because they want to get their would -be dictator (who would mess things up even worse, but that would be fine) back in power.
They also still don't get that you don't accomplish any of these things by getting it to trend on Twitter. Everyone knows how easy it is to game the algorithms.

The Arizona state Senate GOP’s “audit” of the 2020 election results has been delayed, again, after the CEO of the firm leading it and other members contracted COVID-19.

Arizona state Senate president Karen Fann announced in a statement that although the full draft of the “audit” was expected on Monday, Cyber Ninjas CEO Doug Logan and two other members of the five-person team are “quite sick” after testing positive for COVID-19.
