Tucker didn't really challenge Putin very deeply because if he had done that, he might not have left the country. Tucker knows this, but of course is too cowardly to just say it.
When looking at the interview, one thing is quite clear: Putin got the questions a long time upfront, and had enough time to consider his answers upfront, because you never really see him struggle or taking some time to think about them.
Also as a side story: Tucker Carlson buying stuff in a Russian supermarket. What's even more interesting and somewhat alarming are many comments to that video, just like this one:
