When he goes, there is no one who can unite the MAGA movement. It will fracture into warring camps like every other cult does when the leader dies. He barely got the Big Beautiful Bill passed. Vance could not wrangle votes between Republican factions because they are not afraid of him and there will be 4 or 5 different factions to try to get on board.

I feel like if Trump is out before midterms, it will cause problems. At the bare minimum, Trump.is turning people against the GOP, a bit.

Vance cannot hold the GOP together and guide then in any direction. He has negative charisma. That's the problem, and that's why the White House staff are propping up Donnie Dotard like a dystopian version of Weekend at Bernie's. They all need to hold the fractious GOP factions together just long enough to get through the midterms and (theoretically) keep the GOP in power or at least so they keep telling themselves.

The minute Trump collapses in a heap, the coalition of MAGA/techbros/ReligiousRightZanies all falls apart.
