I scream, you scream, we all scream "Logical Fallacy!"
There are also some rather interesting, quirky and mildly positive effects in published studies that are greatly tourqing off a large portion of the medical community. Sorry, no links.![]()
Fox News links Joe Biden's ice cream habit to Alzheimer's
"There's a reason caregivers deliver ice cream to their patients in nursing homes," Jesse Watters said.www.newsweek.com
I guess I have Alzheimer's, then. Or I'm a child. Or I like ice cream? Hmm.
Welp. I'm fucked.Fox News host Jesse Watters has linked President Joe Biden's love of ice cream to Alzheimer's disease.
Whenever I see a quote from these Fox News types, I get the impression that there's a black, deep pit inside them, where a human being should be - and they crave all the money in the world because they're desperate to plug that hole with it.![]()

The foundation that selected SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, conservative media mogul Rupert Murdoch and other honorees as recipients of an award named after Ruth Bader Ginsburg announced Monday it is canceling its award ceremony after receiving pushback from the late justice’s family.
Julie Opperman, chair of the Opperman Foundation, said in a statement “that the last thing we intended was to offend the family and friends of RBG.”
“Our purpose was only to remember her and to honor her leadership. And, while we believe each of the honorees is worthy of our respect for their leadership and their notable contributions, the Foundation has decided that the planned ceremony in April 2024 will be canceled,” Opperman said.
"I know who should receive an award named after Ruth Bader Ginsburg - a couple rich and powerful conservative assholes!"
They have already given the prize to Kissinger and Obama. Whatever good Obama did for this country he was surely no pacifist in other parts of the world. What's next? A Nobel Peace Prize for Attila the Hun?
It was kinda boneheaded yeah? Like why the heck is this generic "successful person" award named after Ginsberg anyway? I would've thought an award with her name on it would be given for something law-related, or something women's rights-related because it's, you know, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the Supreme Court justice. Like what's next, the Joe DiMaggio Network Administrator of the Year Award?"I know who should receive an award named after Ruth Bader Ginsburg - a couple rich and powerful conservative assholes!"
The pure bloody mindlessness. I mean: Michael Milken was to be given one. What the Fuck.
Yeah, the Peace Prize to Kissinger is what immediately came to mind for me. Obama had a more mixed legacy but Kissinger was a monster who American politicians like because he was their monster. They have already given the prize to Kissinger and Obama. Whatever good Obama did for this country he was surely no pacifist in other parts of the world.
That's exactly what I think a lot of "awards" become. They are either gifts to people who donate to the foundation (probably the case here) or just generic successful people awards. "How can you think Elon is dumb when he's so rich???" Giving it to Elon is tone deaf but giving it to Murdoch is so absurd I definitely think someone at the foundation was trolling. It was kinda boneheaded yeah? I'm sure he'd see it as a trolling opportunity.I wonder how Musk feels now that he's been honored with an award that was originally dedicated to "women of distinction."
Far-right Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Friday filed a motion to oust Speaker Mike Johnson, doing so just as the House voted to avoid a government shutdown.
Johnson, R-La., has served as speaker for five months, having taken over for Kevin McCarthy, who was ousted from the top job under a similar process.
It was not immediately clear how the House would act on her motion, which requires just a majority vote to remove the speaker. Greene, R-Ga., did not file the motion as privileged — which would force a vote within two legislative days — but instead as a regular motion, which could be referred to a committee, where it would likely languish.
Not sure she knows how clocks work. When you start a timer it is supposed to go off at a set time. It's not like you set the microwave for "Who knows when."I’m not saying that it won’t happen in two weeks or it won’t happen in a month or who knows when. But I am saying the clock has started.
It's more like a timer at a track meet. Only the runners have no clue where the track is.Not sure she knows how clocks work. When you start a timer it is supposed to go off at a set time. It's not like you set the microwave for "Who knows when."
Plus the track is on fire, the timer is on fire, the runners are on fire, and everything's on fire because THEY'RE IN HELL.It's more like a timer at a track meet. Only the runners have no clue where the track is.
Let's not bring religion into this.because THEY'RE IN HELL.

Unless the microwave is also a convection oven. Then you can usually set it to preheat and let it keep running. Not sure she knows how clocks work. When you start a timer it is supposed to go off at a set time. It's not like you set the microwave for "Who knows when."
The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire. We don't need no water...Plus the track is on fire, the timer is on fire, the runners are on fire, and everything's on fire because THEY'RE IN HELL.
