Lurch gets roasted too for war profiteering.
Great summary of a concept that I've seen explained a few times before. I think there are similar mechanisms that explain why many otherwise reasonable people will often demonstrate totally blind loyalty to something or someone. This interesting.
The founder did write a book though. Not even just another grift. An actual nonprofit. I'm chuffed.
’But what he says matters’, the media respond. Increasingly, though, as his statements become ever more erratic, incoherent and self-contradictory, even within the same paragraph, there’s a real question whether there’s any empirical value to paying attention to every passing Trump dump.
‘Listen to what they did./ Don't listen to what they said.’ Thus James Fenton in his poem ‘Blood and Lead’. Always good advice, but particularly in this case. Imagine a news outlet adopting a new editorial guideline: only report what Trump has actually done. ‘President Trump said many things today, but the reality is that the Strait of Hormuz remains blocked by both Iran and the US.’ And so on. Would we be any less well informed?
While I regard the death penalty as completely wrong and unacceptable (the US is a real outlier here, as it is with so many other things), I have to say that, based on what I've read about the realities of the electric chair and lethal injections, I think that I'd rather face a firing squad. At least that's pretty quick and instantaneous, assuming they can shoot straight at close range. Messy, but quick.Coming back again: Federal executions with firing squads.
Perfectly describes a sexual encounter with Donald Trump. Which considering he gets himself off over having firing squads for his enemies, that sounds on point.Messy, but quick.
WHY WOULD YOU MAKE ME THINK ABOUT THAT???Perfectly describes a sexual encounter with Donald Trump. Which considering he gets himself off over having firing squads for his enemies, that sounds on point.
Judge Kathleen M. Williams just torched Donald Trump’s $10 billion IRS lawsuit, calling out the absurdity of a sitting president suing his own agencies and demanding answers on whether this legal circus even belongs in federal court.
