So when Carney implies that Canada just can’t trust America anymore, you can’t blame him. And it isn’t just Trump that Canada (and our other allies) can’t trust. It’s us, the American people. Trump may have low approval ratings now, but his approval was even lower after he tried to overthrow the government on January 6, and less than four years later we returned him to office. We could elect JD Vance or some other Republican who wants to continue Trump’s policies in 2028, or 2032. No one can have faith that if they just hunker down for the next three years, everything will go back to normal.

Starting to suspect Trump's name is actually in the Epstein files so much that they might as well be called the Trump files
You know, I really hate to be smug about this, but...

Ha ha who am I kidding no I don't 😇

Do you think he will become that old? The best part of his future lies behind him IMHO.
One doesn’t know. But he will abandon his core and live palatially in the Middle East before he pays any sort of legal penalty in the US. I am hopeful that the others will be Nuremberged as we transition from nightmare to recovery.

I just read the 25th amendment - what a pile of garbage! It's nothing more than window coating, not solving anything meaningful.

Why? Because for involuntary removal the Vice President and a majority of the cabinet need to submit a written declaration to Congress stating the President is unable to perform his duties. This is not going to happen.

If it would happen, a two-thirds vote in House and Senate is required to keep the Vice President in power. Again: not going to happen.

Quite a weak amendment for something which was added in 1967.

“This dried out “prune“ of a rocker (his skin is all atrophied!)…”

The giant talking wart is talking about Bruce Springsteen. Does he even own a mirror? Maybe he’s still young in his own rotting head.

Wakes up, yawns, shuffles off to find coffee, sit's down "Whats going on in the world today.....?"

Confused old man tries to destroy passenger air travel in US.

Cool. Good start for a friday.
Not just passenger air travel. CalFire relies heavily on Canadian aircraft, especially the Super-scoopers, to fight wildfires within the state.

The Guardian US committee is reconsidering all vaccine recommendations

All vaccine recommendations are being reconsidered by the US’s vaccines committee, according to its top adviser, who in recent interviews slammed vaccination requirements for attending school and said vaccines should be taken on the advice of an individual’s doctor.
Significant additional changes may be made to the childhood immunization schedule this year, Milhoan, who is a pediatric cardiologist, told the New York Times last week. ACIP may “not necessarily” change the recommendations for all vaccines to become optional, but the committee is “reevaluating all of the vaccine products including risks and benefits”, Milhoan said.

In a separate interview on the podcast Why Should I Trust You?, which was released last Thursday, Milhoan said that he supported individuals over the collective public and framed vaccine debates as “autonomy versus public health”.

“There’s always going to be a tension between what is supposedly good for all and what is good for the individual,” Milhoan said.

Bari Weiss’s new CBS hires include ‘germ theory denialist’ doctor
Among the new hires at CBS announced by Bari Weiss is a doctor who has claimed that he has reduced his biological age by 20 years with therapies including cold plunges; that cod liver oil can treat autism and that conditions like Alzheimer’s and dementia can be reversed with the kind of nutritional supplements he also sells on his online store.

Dr Mark Hyman, who has been called a “germ theory denialist” by the medical author Harriet Hall, and has been brought on as a contributor in Weiss’s revamping of CBS’s news division. He is perhaps the most prominent exponent of so-called “functional medicine” (FM), an alternative medicine that the oncological surgeon David Gorski has described as “pure quackery”.
