Things have radically changed for the MAGA world now that Trump is not into the Epstein Myth anymore. Suddenly, Epstein holds no explanatory power for them — suddenly it doesn’t explain why America is so corrupt.
Sounds like whistlin' in the dark to me.

Honestly, attributing this level of thinking to MAGAts is like attributing existential angst to a fire hydrant.

Even a fire hydrant can cause them headaches, under the right circumstances.

Uh oh. ALL HANDS ON DECK.

Raging Trump Desperately Tries to Censor Epstein Exposé (archive.today)
President Donald Trump personally called The Wall Street Journal’s editor in chief about its upcoming exposé on his links to Jeffrey Epstein.

The phone call, first reported on by Oliver Darcy’s Status, comes as the paper plans to publish a report that would offer “new material shedding light on the Trump-Epstein relationship.” Epstein—who once described Trump as his “closest friend for 10 years,” according to biographer Michael Wolff—died by suicide awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges in 2019.

Darcy did not provide further details of the call with Post Editor-in-Chief Emma Tucker. It is also unclear if the president has also tried calling Journal owner Rupert Murdoch, according to Status.

Jeffrey Epstein’s Friends Sent Him Bawdy Letters for a 50th Birthday Album. One Was From Donald Trump.
It was Jeffrey Epstein’s 50th birthday, and Ghislaine Maxwell was preparing a special gift to mark the occasion. She turned to Epstein’s family and friends. One of them was Donald Trump.

Maxwell collected letters from Trump and dozens of Epstein’s other associates for a 2003 birthday album, according to documents reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.

Pages from the leather-bound album—assembled before Epstein was first arrested in 2006—are among the documents examined by Justice Department officials who investigated Epstein and Maxwell years ago, according to people who have reviewed the pages. It’s unclear if any of the pages are part of the Trump administration’s recent review.
The letter bearing Trump’s name, which was reviewed by the Journal, is bawdy—like others in the album. It contains several lines of typewritten text framed by the outline of a naked woman, which appears to be hand-drawn with a heavy marker. A pair of small arcs denotes the woman’s breasts, and the future president’s signature is a squiggly “Donald” below her waist, mimicking pubic hair.

The letter concludes: “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.”
Trump is denying everything.
In an interview with the Journal on Tuesday evening, Trump denied writing the letter or drawing the picture. “This is not me. This is a fake thing. It’s a fake Wall Street Journal story,” he said.

“I never wrote a picture in my life. I don’t draw pictures of women,” he said. “It’s not my language. It’s not my words.”

Mary Trump connects some damning dots. Apparently one of Trump's unhinged moments was a puzzling claim that his Uncle John, a professor at MIT, had taught Ted Kaczinski (the Unabomber) as a student. Fact checking showed that not to be possible. First, Kaczinski didn't go to MIT, and secondly, John Trump died years before Kaczinski's identity was revealed.

So where the heck did this story even come from, in the addled tunnels of his brain? Turns out it was Jeffrey Epstein who went to Harvard, and bragged about studying math with the Unabomber as documented in a 2019 Mother Jones article interviewing one of Epstein's college friends.

As the pressure on Trump mounts, his brain is melting.

Check it out starting at the 10:30 mark:

Imagine the twist if being a student along side Epstein was what radicalized the Unabomber.

For Trump and his cronies, the prospect of losing power — or even sharing it with Democrats in the event control of the House shifts in 2026 — could prove to be catastrophic because of their reasonable fear of being held accountable for criminality that dwarfs Trump’s first term. And unlike January 2021 — when the Big Lie scheme failed — Trump and his cohorts will have new tools to carry out a coup, including a massive federal police force with a proven willingness to engage in systemic illegality.

No matter whether Trump discussed the Unabomber with his uncle or with Epstein, Trump seems to be claiming he knew the Unabomber's identity years before the FBI did.

I think the next chance they get, someone should ask Karoline Leavitt "what did the president know, and when did he know it?" Perhaps Mssrs Patel and Bongino could be asked to investigate.

Well, yeah. He DID tell them they only had to vote this time and never again. He DID try to commit a coup once before, as we know. They truly do not fear the voters as they rightfully should. The basis of democracy is that we can get rid of those who do not represent us, leaving us to what? Now, he's telling them that he does not need their votes.

That can be construed in a number of ways, but let's take a look at it:

1) I don't need your votes because I will not be running for President again despite my constant interest in selling Trump 2028 memorabilia.

2) I don't need your votes because I have other means of obtaining the Presidency.

I have made my opinion clear in previous posts as to my opinion about such things. As always we are at war with either Eurasia or East Asia dependent upon the whim of Trump. It has not been more obvious than with the Epstein saga.

The big question is if any of the co-conspirators will ever fess up, namely one Mr. Musk. I think? It is a matter of mutual destruction, similar to the Cold War. He can hint at what he did by saying "You would not have the Presidency if not for me, nor the Senate, nor the House, intimating that it was due to his outsized monetary influence, but dare not say what crimes they actually committed (vote counting manipulation) as that would amount to high treason, punishable by death. It is a secret, hmmm...he had a secret with Epstein, too....that they will both take to their death, rather than reveal.

We'll probably never know, because I'd put the chances of Trump still being alive in three years as very low.
Very true. Vance, I think, is a live wire. He has so many powerful figures behind him that care not for democracy one bit. In fact, they would love to bring back feudalism with them at the helm. I keep thinking about his writing Hillbilly Elegy and Peter Thiel spending the most ever spent on a Senate campaign to get him into office and into place for a possible VP slot, with a Trump willing to take the highest bidder or highest briber.

He surely hasn't won over MAGA, but does he even need to if they have the means of stripping power from the citizens?

To my admittedly untrained eye, it seems that these guys attended Yale, created PayPal, smoked too much weed sitting around admiring each other's farts and decided that they, alone, should decide where America should go. The attendant rise of the internet making them billionaires gave them the power to dream that they could overturn democracy in favor of their farts.

Fortunately I can't think of anyone else who can hold the MAGA coalition together. Even their daddy is getting his first real pushback over the Epstein list fiasco. It will be ugly infighting for who the true successor is, and the corporate and populist sides are due for a clash once the damage of current policy hit. With his hand/foot issue and cognitive decline vascular dementia is quite possibly already in play.

Yes, Trump does already seem to be exhibiting signs of dementia, but Russell Vought (Project 2025 co-author and OMB Director, destruction of the federal govt) and Stephen Miller (immigration human trafficking) will prop him up as long as needed, Weekend at Bernie's, Wizard of Oz style. I mean, they've been behind him as he signs and proudly holds up the executive orders that THEY wrote, like a child holding up their kindegarten picture.

Do they need to bring the MAGA coalition together, though? If they have the means of *overcoming* reticent voters by illegal means, does it even matter? Then, there is the matter of nutjobs like Mike Johnson, who seems to think that Trump was put in place by God and therefore they should always do as Trump wants. We still have these lunatics to contend with.

For whatever reason, Trump has the "it" factor that garners him unwavering support from the MAGA segment of the country, as the most volatile and violent segment, too. And he has the support of the GOP and the Heritage Foundation, who are using him as a figurehead for their agenda. Then there's the tech bros, who have yet another agenda. (Those aren't even all the major players, but I'll stop there.)

Trump, aka Teflon Don, is the glue that holds all those disparate factions together. The minute he's gone, or reaches the point of dementia that can no longer be denied, the fighting for power will begin.

All of this reminds me of Aleksandr Dugin, the ideological arsonist behind Putin's brand of Russian fascism.
