The language on that page is beyond ridiculous. Yes, I get that they kinda sorta mean "the zygote that will eventually produce eggs(large reproductive cells), or sperm(small reproductive cells)".

Not sure I understand how this "ends gender." Admittedly it's many, many years since my school biology lessons, but doesn't gender have something to do with whether the zygote receives an X or a Y chromosome from the father?
That whole "gender is determined by X and Y chromosomes" deal is part of it, but that's one of those useful "lies for children" that you get in the first trip through a science topic. As with most topics in biology, what is really going on is much more subtle and complicated.
Its that way in general for science in school, and probably most subjects. In physics you start with simple velocity formulas. By High School you introduce "Assume a frictionless ball in a vaccuum". By late HS you are adding in simple friction. By college you start adding in calculus and figuring out actual friction to optimize for it. You eventually also start doing quantum mechanics style calculations, which are needed at extreme velocities, but also work for your 60mph trains traveling towards each other. Its just that at that scale the margin of error between proper relativity equasions and "v1+v2" becomes .00000000000001, so its ignorable.
I wasn't trying to make a serious point here. I was hoping to point at this White House as a clown car alternating between rushing things out the door without thinking them through, and rushing insidious lies and half truths out the door.

Things these clowns never heard of/were curious enough to learn about/lalala im not listening simply don't exist, and if they do, they should be suppressed to the point they can be eliminated in a way that it doesn't cause panicked riots in the future supply of victims.
