If it involves crypto going bust, I'd possibly be for it.This next great depression is going to be amazing.
Trump orders public money to but $Trump. Public now has $Trump and Trump has the money. If it involves crypto going bust, I'd possibly be for it.

All you red hat wearers who paid good money to be part of the inauguration festivities, I hope your airline tickets and hotel bookings are refundable. Expect the next four years to be like that, because he truly doesn't give a shit about any of you.bsky.app
Germany's ambassador to the United States has warned that the incoming Trump administration will rob U.S. law enforcement and the media of their independence and hand big tech companies "co-governing power", according to a confidential document seen by Reuters.
The briefing document, dated Jan. 14 and signed by Ambassador Andreas Michaelis, describes Donald Trump's agenda for his second White House term as one of "maximum disruption" that will bring about "a redefinition of the constitutional order - maximum concentration of power with the president at the expense of Congress and the federal states."
"Basic democratic principles and checks and balances will be largely undermined, the legislature, law enforcement and media will be robbed of their independence and misused as a political arm, Big Tech will be given co-governing power," it says.
I have already been in the middle of it for like a decade now. This next great depression is going to be amazing.

There is some very uncomfortable truth to this. Biden focused on repairing the damage that Trump started in his first term, but I think he (and many of us) were complacent in thinking that Trump would be defeated if he ever tried again. Although, to be fair to Biden, there's a limit to what even the president can do in four years to turn the entire culture of the U.S. around.I fear that 10, 20 years from now, people could turn back and say the Biden years did not achieve anything to stop Trump from returning.
For me, Biden failed to stop Trump in multiple ways, and for that, more than anything else, he will live in a degree of infamy in my memory. He promised to be a one term president and then said he was running again, ruining others' opportunities and the chance of the Democrats to pick a winning candidate. He failed to get Jack Smith moving fast enough to put Trump in jail. He failed to resign in Harris' favor, making her a sitting president running for re-election. Too much desire to make a good mark in history to understand that he had a duty to the country and to us who supported him, an already too-old man to be president. This comment really stood out to me:

This is the biggest one for me. We can speculate all we want about which candidates under which circumstances would have beaten Trump, but that's all speculation. Trump never should have been allowed to run. The Justice system as a whole failed and really showed it's weakness to stop a runaway tyrant. Trump is not only president again, but can justifiably have increased confidence that nothing will stop him doing anything he wants. I'm not sure how much of this could have been helped by Biden personally, but the Justice system really failed the American people. He failed to get Jack Smith moving fast enough to put Trump in jail.
