Yeah nah, that sounds like "Mueller Time" style fanfic to me. I could see Trump wanting to sue, and I could see his lawyers advising him not to do that, but I can't see them specifically using the Epstein files as a threat like that, and even if they did I couldn't see it shutting him up because Trump still seems pretty confident right now that he can "post through it".

Could be 100% wrong about this, but I don't think Trump is panicking the way a lot of people would like him to be over Epstein. I think to him it's something that he has to deal with so that it doesn't screw up the midterms and make the second half of his term a pain, but after the midterms he's not going to care. It's his final term and let's face it, he is in ZERO legal or political jeopardy over whatever is in the Epstein files no matter how bad it is. I think the people around him are far more concerned about it, because they're the ones who have careers and ambitions after Trump that could be damaged by association.

So Trump wants the U.S. to conduct a new census. Which I guess we should consider to be the first Trump Census to be run alongside the typical, regular census the U.S. Constitution mandates be taken every 10 years, and is likely to continue doing so until Trump had destroyed all governance upon which that document is based.

Perhaps he'd be happier if he could rejigger the real census from when someone explained to him what the census does back during his first term, when he tried to fuck with the census numbers. He's demanding his census to use "results and information gained from the Presidential Election of 2024." Which mathematically, politically and logically isn't a thing a census should be made to do. Also, his census will not be including anyone who is "in our Country illegally," which was his first beef with the census, and pretty much invalidates many of the reasons for taking a census.

Not sure about that argument -- whatever these women say, it's hardly likely he'll be successfully impeached over it, and unless nature takes a hand Tump will continue to be POTUS until January 2029 at the earliest.

So, sadly, I don't see how these women's accounts of his rapes and sexual assaults are going to be any more effective. It would be nice to think we lived in a world where that was the case, but unfortunately we don't.

Agreed. There is already SO MUCH dirt on him that should be career ending, but seems to not hurt him much at all. I have no confidence that anything would do the trick.

I teach a University freshman class. I can say this is pretty much cherrypicked bullshit. My students may miss some trivia, but they are smart and can reason just fine.

Of course if that even would be a problem with university students, than God help us all.
It is the huge group with capacities below them, that worries me.
