It does and it also encourages smaller bites which makes it last longer and is a healthier method of consumption.

which I do, with pretty much everything, because my front teeth don't meet well enough to bite through tomato skins and pickles and onions and things on the burger that drag out all over the table if I try to eat it with my hands. Some pizza things, pepperoni, banana peppers, cause me to eat with utensils as well.

People are very vocally mocking and judgmental about it so I only eat such things in public when it's all there is if then.

We're getting into "a taco is a sandwich" territory. I suppose to a perfect burger purist it would need to have a sourdough bun, but to me a fat-sliced bit of sourdough toast is fine.
