Jack in the Box Sourdough Burger is the closest thing there has ever been to a perfect fast food burger.

And you eat it out of the waxed paper wrapper, folding it back as you go, so it doesn't leak all over your shoes.

Have you tried the new Smashed Jack? It's on a normal bun, but the whole thing is actually quite tasty. And juicy.

Hardee's' Frisco Burger is the same package down to the wrapping paper, and having tried them both I found them pretty much equivalent, if you've got access to one but not the other.

According to their website the nearest Hardees is in Nashville, which is a bit much of a drive for a burger. I drove up to the vicinity of Memphis for the eclipse in 2017 and that was enough of a haul.

The closest Jack in the Box to me is over 900 miles away, in Ohio.

There's several Hardee's in Maryland, a bit over half the distance but certainly closer. Some offer DoorDash delivery. Should I?
