It is easier to work with, and around, the dumb kid, than it is to work with intelligent people who adopt responsibility, and seem competent, but then don't produce results.
Lots of smart kids are just horrible in groups. I remember one project in college with a lady who had to have everything done her way but also wouldn't just tell me how she wanted things done. I was supposed to take initiative to just guess how she wanted it! lol.

Well, I guess we know who the dumb one of the group project group is.

(j/k)
Probably not the smartest in the group but definitely the pain-in-the-ass who had read ALL the rules.

For fans of Derry Girls, I think I was pretty much an introverted version of Jenny; the one to whom the ever-dour (and hilarious) headmistress, Sister George Michael*, said, "You will go far in life. But you will not be well-liked."

* If you have not seen the series, this name alone should inspire you to seek it out.

Hey! Enough eraser throwing in the classroom! There's a Presidential Election going on over here!

How Arizona Republicans' voter purge scheme blew up in their faces

Republicans in Arizona over the past several years have enacted proof-of-citizenship requirements for registered voters with the purported goal of eliminating the threat of undocumented immigrants from voting.
However, Just Security reports that many of these same Republicans have been changing their tune recently after they discovered that the law would purge a large number of registered Republicans.

As Just Security writes, the trouble started last month when Maricopa County recorder Stephen Richer "discovered that a glitch in Arizona’s driver’s license database caused nearly 100,000 registered voters not to meet the proof of citizenship requirements under the state’s recently revised election laws."

Richer filed an emergency petition with the Arizona Supreme Court arguing that the law states that these voters should be deemed ineligible to vote in upcoming elections, only to be opposed in court by the same Republicans who had long championed such rules.

Senate Republicans make sudden change in ad strategy amid cash crunch
The National Republican Senatorial Committee is canceling all its remaining independent expenditure buys and redirecting that money toward “hybrid” ads, according to two people familiar with the committee’s strategy. Those ads are purchased in conjunction with the candidate’s campaign and at the lower TV ad rate offered to candidates — allowing the NRSC’s money to be spent more efficiently.

But they come with a catch: Hybrid ads must spend as much time addressing a national issue or party as they do the specific Senate or House race. That can make the ads clunky and difficult to design.

The NRSC has leaned heavily on hybrid ads this cycle. Its only remaining independent expenditure ads, set to run in support of Sam Brown in Nevada, will now shift to hybrid ads made jointly with him.
The Republican purse strings are getting difficult to loosen.

The chickens have come home to lay ginormous rancid eggs, or something like that.

At least three women are claiming to have had romantic relationships with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in just the last year, as he pursued a long-shot bid for the presidency, Mediaite has learned.

People close to Kennedy now fear the revelation of those alleged relationships could jeopardize his standing in Donald Trump’s orbit, particularly as the former president and 2024 Republican nominee fights to win over suburban women.

Two sources with direct knowledge of the three women’s accounts confirmed to Mediaite the existence of their claims. Mediaite also reviewed and obtained texts from a woman in which she detailed an alleged relationship with Kennedy this year.
By the way, the 3 women referenced does NOT include (quite likely former) NYMag reporter Olivia Nuzzi. These eggs are particularly ginormous - and rancid.
