Did Trump actually say that if you accept FEMA aid they will take your house or is this guy's father in law just totally insane on his own? Either way, I don't doubt Trumpism is related to why this person would have such an irrational distrust of FEMA.

The greens are the official party of people who are very left and compassionate but completely lack common sense. Instead of getting the half assed climate legislation from democrats we'll get NOTHING. I think this party mostly appeals to accelerationists, which is another big group of stupid people.
