There's a strong argument to make that, mostly due to the embodiment of Trumpism, Republicans have let their freak fly publicly and policy wise in ways they would not have considered a generation ago. The efforts of using stealth and patience in their plans are long gone. When they scream "death to baby killers" now, they are holding pitchforks and axes.

OH GOD... some of my first encounters with internet forums were fitness forums... they really are overrun with the worst kind of meathead stereotypes. It's worse than you'd even think. Most of these forums have a majority of witless, irredeemable meatheads, and a minority of smart people trying to reason with them.

I remember arguing about the Iraq war back in 2003 on one such board... this one guy who claimed to be military (who knows if he was or not) would literally just go on incoherent rants about how bad ass he was... he could go on for 1-2 full pages at a time. They really had no idea what constituted a valid argument at all.

I'm surprised they even knew how to turn on a computer and go online!

Because it has absolutely nothing to do with protecting fetuses, and everything to do with controlling women and putting us back in "our place". The fetuses are just pawns in their game.
