The show, called His Dark Material, was released on Christmas Day but received widespread attention on Friday after a clip was posted and shared online.

Carr said: “When people talk about the Holocaust, they talk about the tragedy and horror of 6 million Jewish lives being lost to the Nazi war machine. But they never mention the thousands of Gypsies that were killed by the Nazis.

“No one ever wants to talk about that, because no one ever wants to talk about the positives.”

So, that caused me to wander over to the article. He "defends" himself by saying that his joke is educational. Fuck him. I'd already known about how there were other people also killed; but even so, how the fuck does making a sick disgusting joke educate anyone?

If they don't know, would they really go look it up? "Why'd that comedian make that joke? *looks it up* Oooh! Well, he's a sick fuck for making that joke then." Or would they, probably, just laugh because others were laughing and not look it up, laugh because it's "okay" to hate them and he mentioned them, or . . . whatever.

Never heard of him. Looked him up on IMDB. Luckily nothing on there is anything I've seen or want to see. Fuck him.

I'd encourage Mr Carr to read Crossing: A Journal of Survival and Resistance in World War II[ by Jan Yoors. It's a vivid account of living with the Roma during WWII, including being in the camps.
Maybe then he wouldn't think it was so funny.
