True. But remember that in most criminal cases, the convict has to start serving their sentence while the appeals process resolves itself.This Guardian article says with appeals and everything it could be years to reach a final verdict. (Boo)

I thought about this... He's certain to fuck up his probation if he gets it and then he'll just play victim again when there are consequences.If he gets probation, odds are he'll foul it up just like everything else and will have to serve time for parole violations.
