So, i can tell you why that douchecanoe is being salty - the Florida Constitution makes privacy a lot more air-tight than the US amendment, apparently - in other words, Florida cannot legally make a law against privacy, as they are learning with trying to make gender affirming care as well as abortions illegal.

Incels cheer on anything that hurts women, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that they’re hailing the death of Roe with shouts of “HOES MAD” and celebratory animated emojis.

(It should not come as any great surprise, I guess, that some politically savvy incels have worked out who's really responsible for their inceldom -- yup, it's the JOOOS!)

Not surprising at all... And they will absolutely cheer anything that's bad for women even against their own interests. That community is overwhelmingly not religious or really anti abortion, they are entirely just anti women. Those same communities have also cheered efforts to get the IRS to audit sex workers. ...not because they don't like porn or anything, but just because it made women mad.

The reality of late term abortion


Abortion in the UK is freely available up to 24 weeks (and is legal under very restricted circumstances after that) but only about 1% of abortions are carried out at 20 weeks -- this woman's was at 19.5 weeks -- and always for similarly heartrending reasons, which is why anti-abortion propaganda about "late term abortions" makes me so angry.

The Democrats don't actually have a majority in the Senate. They do on paper, but not as a practical matter of fact.

I'm only mentioning this because a lot of people are correctly observing that the Democrats haven't passed any platform legislation since Biden's election, including on abortion, but most of them are blaming the entire DNC for the contrarian obstruction of one single man who does NOT support the Democratic platform, or even Evil Centrist policies.

Once he's gone, or there are at least enough Democrats in the Senate that his lone vote no longer has any deciding power, THEN it's okay to blame the Democratic Party for inaction.
