I'm fucking stunned. Yes, we all saw this coming, but still. My hatred for TFG and Turtle McTurtleface burns with the intensity of a thousand suns for stacking the Court the way they did.

Right now, it's our right to choose. How soon before our only rights are to be in the kitchen, barefoot and pregnant, making dear hubby a sandwich?

Even though I knew this was coming...never really bought that whole "they'll just chip away at Roe, not really overturn it"...it still feels like a punch in the gut. I'm too old to have to worry about making the choice to terminate a pregnancy, but I have children who aren't. Especially a daughter. Even though this isn't an officially released opinion, general consensus is that's a real SCOTUS leak. Not some sort of Deep Fake. They're REALLY going to set us back 50 years.

The only thing I can hope is that this lights a fire in all the places where some burning needs to take place. Time to expand the SCOTUS, for one. Because this won't stop with Women's rights to our bodies. They're coming after Same Sex marriage, next. We have 4 Radicals on the SCOTUS right now, and one who tries to make it look good, but who no longer really matters to the Court and who's efforts are moot at this point. That needs to be counter-acted. Before much longer.

So I’ve been away a while and at first wasn’t sure if this was intended as parody or satire but based on the other responses I’m guessing not.

Reading through your elaborated post I can kinda see what your ultimate end objective is, and while I’m not sure this approach will be the most successful in motivating support and change, I’m fairly certain it’s bad timing for this approach.

While provoking anger, or tough love if that indeed is what you are intending, can be useful tools it requires good timing and a level of trust that doesn’t appear to currently be the case.
