This deployment is getting us numbed to the idea of fed goons in our cities and meant to stoke violence so that he can declare martial law in the fall. It is all about either cancelling/delaying the elections or limiting the ability of liberal voters to vote at all.

I've seen that sentiment a lot. People getting inured to it, no, can't say I've seen that.
Haven't seen anyone saying anything positive about it except bots and trolls. I suppose the MAGAts, within their social media echo chamber, are loving it, "owning the libs", and the Qballs no doubt think it's part of "The Plan" and are sure Hillary and Isha are going to be hauled off to Gitmo any day now. It's possible those are the only responses read to Dump.

Yes, he would keep going. He thinks this is the way to win re-election and nothing will stop him from that goal; nothing. He will endanger the lives of any American as he has handled the corona virus and in school re-openings to achieve this goal. He would smash a grandmother's face to achieve that goal. He would lock up every democratic voter if he could to achieve that goal. He would shred the constitution to achieve that goal. He would work with ANY country that wanted to help him to achieve that goal.

I have to say that a temporary order restraining them from attacking journalists doesn't sound a lot, but I wonder if it's not just a placeholder application which they'll invite the court to make much broader, and permanent, when the full hearing is held.

I saw the story in the Washington Post. That article included a part wherein the Mayor mentioned that he was going to rethink having teargas used by the police he is a commissioner for. Article ended with a comment that hours after the Mayor left, the police threatened the protesters, telling them to leave or they would be teargassed. Portland police, not the feds.
